OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach
5-Day (30 hour) training course for construction workers with safety responsibilities to provide a more in-depth look at construction safety and health hazards. (*Required for workers at most major construction sites under NYC Local Law 196 of 2017)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach training course covers the topics included in the 10-hour course, but focuses on providing more in depth training to construction workers with some type of safety responsibilities on their construction site(s). The OSHA Construction Industry Outreach programs are designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926 regulations and highlight hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention within the construction field.
At a minimum, course topics include:
-Intro to OSHA
-Managing Safety and Health
-OSHA Focus Four Hazards (Fall Protection, Electrical, �Struck-by� and �Caught in/between�)
-Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment,
-Health Hazards in Construction
-Stairways and Ladders
Additional topics can include:
-Concrete and Masonry Construction
-Confined Space Entry
-Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, & Conveyors
-Ergonomics
-Excavations
-Fire Protection and Prevention
-Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal
-Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment and Marine Operations; Rollover Protective Structures and Overhead Protection; and Signs, Signals and Barricades
-Powered Industrial Vehicles
-Safety and Health Programs
-Scaffolds
-Steel Erection
-Tools - Hand and Power
-Welding and Cutting
-Foundations for Safety Leadership
*This course also meets the requirements for the Nassau County Environmental Hazard Remediation Provider & Technician Licenses.
