Phase II - Site Assessment
CNS Environmental performs Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (aka Subsurface Investigations), in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. CNS typically assesses a sampling protocol for a subject site based upon (i) current/past reports; (ii) current and/or past usage; and/or (iii) regulatory agency requirements. The collected samples are analyzed by a state and federal accredited independent laboratory.

CNS utilizes in-house GeoprobeTM equipment to accomplish soil gas sampling, subsurface soil and groundwater sampling as well as installing groundwater monitoring wells. Geophysical surveys are accomplished by CNS staff utilizing metal detectors and sled mounted ground-penetrating radars (GPR).
CNS provides full reporting, remediation plans / designs, risk assessments, remediation system installation, monitoring and regulatory agency interaction to ascertain a “No Further Action” sign-off from the regulatory agency.
