CNS Environmental is currently looking for an Experienced Staff Environmental Consultant with well-rounded knowledge to join our team!  Ideal candidates will be able to hit-the-ground running with 4+ years of experience in both office and field environments and hold a B.S. or higher in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science.  All candidates must be extremely detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and be passionate about the work they do.



Service Areas:

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)

  • Phase II Subsurface Investigations

  • Remediation Assessment, Design, Implementation and Oversight

  • Exposure Assessments

  • Health and Safety Plans (HASP)

  • Investigation and Remediation Work Plans

  • Soil Management Plans (SMP)

  • Sanitary System Investigation, Sampling and Remediation

  • Hydrogeologic Studies

  • SEQR/CEQR

  • UST/AST

  • Vapor Intrusion

  • Waste Management

  • Soil and Groundwater Sampling

  • General and Construction Health and Safety

  • Emergency Response

  • Asbestos, Lead Paint, Mold and Indoor Air Quality experience a plus

  • Property Condition Assessments (PCA) experience a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager in Service Areas outline above

  • Be directly responsible for all aspects of your delegated service areas including but not limited to
    - Field Work
    - Project Preparation
    - Research
    - Data Compilation
    - Technical Report Writing

  • Ensuring accurate and timely execution and completion of assigned projects within budget

  • Direct, schedule, coordinate and track activities of field staff and subcontractors

  • Providing regulatory compliance and technical guidance

  • Interfacing with clients

  • Follow and abide by company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • B.S Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Science

  • 4+ Years’ experience in the Environmental Consulting field executing the responsibilities outlined above (mandatory)

  • Desire to obtain Professional Designation as PE, PG, RA, CHMM and/or CSP

  • Solid technical writing skills and attention to detail

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills

  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and staying within budget

  • Ability to work well with others and build a team

  • Comfortable in both Field and Office environments

  • Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record

Physical Requirements:

  • Conducting site inspections

  • Climbing ladders and stairs

  • Crawl in spaces to access a variety of areas

  • Physically traveling parcels of land and/or buildings

  • Collection of air, soil and groundwater samples

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry equipment
